From Bremen to Tbilisi: Kopf + Lübben Delivers Lifesaving Ambulances Across Borders

The multi-country road transport required precise coordination, specialized handling, and close collaboration with medical equipment partners

Kopf & Lübben GmbH, a Coop member in Hamburg, Bremen, and Frankfurt, Germany, recently completed a complex door-to-door transport of five fully equipped Toyota Landcruiser ambulances to Tbilisi, Georgia. The airfreight export team took over to organize this shipment. While the route itself was demanding, the mission behind it made the project especially significant: delivering lifesaving medical solutions to where they are urgently needed.

Each ambulance was outfitted with advanced medical technology, and the vehicles carried critical onboard systems, including ventilators, defibrillators, patient monitors, and other emergency-response equipment designed for immediate deployment in the field.

Although airfreight would normally be the preferred mode, the team took a solution-first approach. “While we’d usually prefer cargo flying, we wanted to make sure that our client receives the best solution possible, and in this case, it was taking it on the road,” explained Adam Hoffmann, Project Manager at Kopf + Lübben.

The ambulances themselves were professionally converted by Royax, the specialist manufacturer responsible for transforming the Toyota chassis into fully functional emergency vehicles. Coordinating multiple stakeholders across borders required precise planning, reliable partners, and constant communication. What truly set this project apart was collaboration. By leveraging strong relationships with local specialists and trusted partners along the route, Kopf + Lübben ensured smooth execution from pickup to final delivery in Tbilisi.

“This project shows what’s possible when logistics expertise, local knowledge, and the right partnerships come together,” Mr. Hoffman noted. “It’s about more than transport, it’s about enabling healthcare where it matters most.”

Congratulations to Kopf + Lübben for this remarkable achievement and all the best for their future endeavours!

SI Freight Pvt. Ltd. Successfully Delivers Time-Critical Furnace Melting Project to the Middle East

Managing cargo from India’s East, West, and South Coasts, they executed the Door-to-Port movement of 2,000 FRT using nearly 30 open-top and flat-rack containers.

SI Freight Pvt. Ltd., a Coop member in Delhi, India, has completed a high-stakes Furnace Melting Project involving the movement of specialized EGA machinery and furnace equipment from multiple Indian origins to the Middle East. The project demanded precise coordination, tight deadline management, and expert handling of heavy and irregular cargo. With shipment origins spanning the East Coast, West Coast, and South Coast of India, SI Freight managed a total volume of 2,000 FRT, comprising approximately 30 open-top and flat-rack containers, under Door-to-Port terms.

What made the operation particularly challenging was the combination of extremely tight timelines, last-minute packaging requirements, and the need for flawless container planning. Despite these constraints, the SI Freight team executed the project with accuracy and control across every stage of the logistics chain.

“Our focus from day one was planning down to the smallest detail while remaining flexible enough to respond to last-minute changes,” said Mr. Harpreet Singh, Head of Operations at SI Freight Pvt. Ltd. “Projects like this don’t allow room for assumptions. Every movement, every lift, and every connection point had to be accounted for in advance.”

SI Freight handled the complete logistics scope internally, ensuring continuity and accountability throughout the operation. This included factory-to-port trucking across multiple Indian regions, on-site packaging and cargo protection carried out under strict time pressure, and expert CFS handling for heavy and odd-dimension equipment. Additionally, ocean freight coordination was executed on strictly scheduled vessels, requiring close alignment with shipping lines and port authorities to maintain delivery commitments.

Despite the operational complexity, they completed the project with measurable results: on-time delivery at destination, zero cargo damage, and no cost overruns.

Congratulations to SI Freight and all the best for their upcoming projects!

Headway JSC Strengthens Vietnam’s Footprint in Global Trade With Major Export Wins and Advanced Multimodal Capabilities

The company is boosting pangasius export growth and at the same time delivering faster, more reliable logistics for high-priority shipments

Headway JSC, a member of the Cooperative Logistics Network in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Haiphong, and Qui Nhon, is closing 2025 with notable achievements that underline its rising influence in international logistics.

Brazil drives record-setting pangasius export growth

Over the first nine months of the year, Headway handled 36,599 tons of pangasius exports bound for Brazil. That represents a 57 percent leap compared to the same period in 2024, far surpassing the national growth rate and clearly illustrating Brazil’s role as the company’s strongest expansion market.

The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) reports that Vietnam’s pangasius exports exceeded USD 1.6 billion in value during the first three quarters of 2025, up nearly 10 percent year-on-year. Brazil alone accounted for roughly USD 122.4 million by mid-September, rising 51 percent from last year as South America leans deeper into high-nutrition and cost-efficient white fish products.

This aligns perfectly with Headway’s competitive strengths. By Q3 2025, the company’s total pangasius export cargo volume reached 84,128 tons, a 10 percent increase year-on-year. Brazil now accounts for 43 percent of the company’s overall market structure and has surged an extraordinary 148 percent compared to 2023.

“We are proud to see Brazil continue to be our strongest growth driver,” said Felix Nguyen, Managing Director of Headway JSC. “Demand from supermarket chains, foodservice operators, and frozen processors has confirmed the long-term trajectory of this market. Quality consistency is everything in frozen seafood and our cold chain competency is what keeps buyers coming back.”

As Asia–South America routes become more complex, Headway has reinforced its service reliability through streamlined links between ICDs, seaports, and global carriers. Real-time tracking and advanced reefer technology allow full visibility across the journey, protecting product integrity from Vietnam’s processing hubs all the way to São Paulo and beyond.

Breakthrough performance in multimodal logistics

Headway- multimodal logistics

Beyond cold chain success, Headway is also demonstrating leadership in multimodal transport. The company recently executed a time-critical label shipment using a Sea–Truck–Air model that ensured speed, reliability, and cost optimization.

This operation took place under Temporary Import–Re-Export regulations. By moving cargo directly from the seaport to the airport through bonded trucking, Headway helped the customer avoid full import procedures, reducing dwell time and maintaining strict security throughout the process. Despite urgent scheduling, the shipment was delivered precisely on time and fully compliant with local regulations.

Drawing on two decades of expertise, Headway has continued to expand multimodal route planning for a wide spectrum of cargo. Recent operations include raw materials flowing from Vietnam to Korea to shorten production cycles, urgent industrial components arriving from Germany to safeguard factory continuity, and steady movement of auto parts via sustainable high-volume ocean connections. These solutions are designed individually around customer priorities, speed, cost-efficiency, or supply chain stability, ensuring uninterrupted operations even when global logistics pressures rise.

A partner that moves with the industry

The international market is shifting fast. Exporters are demanding partners who bring problem-solving instincts and resilient infrastructure, not just transport capacity. Headway’s achievements show exactly that mindset in action. Today, the company combines strong regional presence, advanced temperature-controlled capabilities, and flexible multimodal planning to help customers compete in more markets with fewer risks. This approach strengthens Vietnam’s role in global supply chains while creating new opportunities for industries preparing for the next phase of international growth.

Congratulations to Headway JSC for these outstanding results. Here’s to even greater milestones ahead!

CIMC Anda Shun Strengthens Its Position in Global Project Logistics With Major Oversized Cargo Milestones

From oversized aviation equipment to a 27-vehicle RO-RO shipment, they continue to prove their expertise in complex transport operations

CIMC Anda Shun, a member of The Cooperative Logistics Network in Shenzhen and Shanghai, China, coordinates two standout shipments that highlight its rising influence in the global project logistics sector. The company successfully delivered a demanding oversized aviation equipment operation and arranged a RO-RO shipment of twenty-seven vehicles totaling more than 1,000 CBM, two projects that showcase the team’s precision planning and end-to-end execution strength.

In the oversized aviation project, CIMC ADS confronted an intense combination of extra width, height, and weight. The team executed detailed stability engineering, incorporating precise weight-distribution calculations and a custom shock-proof structure to ensure the cargo remained steady through the operation. They also coordinated closely with airport cargo terminals to create a dedicated green channel, which resolved the unique challenges of loading, unloading, warehousing, and customs clearance.

“We stationed dedicated personnel on-site from cargo outbound to loading, giving the client real-time visibility throughout the process,” said Mr. Daniel Song, Overseas Market Supervisor at CIMC ADS. “Oversized cargo challenges are common in our industry, but overcoming them requires trust, planning discipline, and teamwork. We’re proud of how our team delivered under pressure, and we deeply appreciate our client’s confidence.”

Client recognition for the flawless handling reinforced CIMC ADS’s commitment to perfection in every operational detail. The company credits its internal collaboration structure and global resource integration for consistent success in transporting high-value and heavy-lift shipments, including aircraft engines, industrial machinery, and precision equipment.

Meanwhile, the company also recently arranged the smooth export of twenty-seven vehicles using RO-RO service. The shipment demonstrated the advantages of RO-RO transport, including reduced handling, high space efficiency, and faster port turnaround. With vehicles able to drive directly on and off the vessel, the loading and unloading process avoided delays linked to lifting operations and minimized risk of damage.

“RO-RO combines safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in a way that is ideal for automotive and oversized cargo,” Ms. Hai explained. “As part of the CIMC Group, we partner with leading ocean carriers and maintain TO contracts with mainstream lines. Our network across China and Southeast Asia allows us to design flexible logistics solutions that meet our partners’ needs, even when routes are challenging or capacity is tight.”

“At CIMC ADS, customized solutions and risk-controlled execution remain our core,” said Mr. Song. “Whether it’s heavy-lift, out-of-gauge, high-value, or time-critical cargo, we stand ready to unlock new possibilities for our customers.”

Congratulations to CIMC ADS for their recent achievements and all the best for their upcoming projects!
