Headway Delivers Strong Finish to the Year and a Powerful Start to 2026

From 24 tons of air cargo in December to complex DG tank logistics in January, they once again proved their range

Headway JSC, a Coop member in Hanoi, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Haiphong, and Ho Chi Minh City, closed 2025 at full speed and stepped into the new year without missing a beat. Across two very different operations, the company demonstrated the versatility, technical knowledge, and coordination skills required to keep critical industrial supply chains moving.

December: keeping factories running during peak season

In December, during one of the most congested moments of the logistics calendar, Headway managed the urgent air transport of more than 24 tons of industrial welding consumables from Europe to Vietnam. The shipment moved along the Prague–Abu Dhabi–Hanoi corridor and was designed to protect factory production schedules that could not afford delays.

The cargo served essential sectors including shipbuilding, heavy fabrication, cement, sugar, and paper manufacturing. Heavyweight, high value, and strict deadlines made timing the decisive factor.

After evaluating urgency and risk exposure, Headway opted for air freight. The choice allowed the customer to compress transit time, maintain planning stability, and keep tighter control over valuable materials at a moment when capacity constraints typically threaten reliability.

The team coordinated documentation, airline arrangements, packaging compliance, and milestone monitoring from origin to final delivery in Hanoi.

As Felix Nguen, Managing Director of Headway said, “Executing such a volume by air at peak season confirmed our company’s ability to mobilize international partnerships quickly and secure workable routings when the market is under pressure.”

January: precision logistics for dangerous goods

A few weeks later, the challenge shifted completely. January opened with a highly specialized dangerous goods movement: four ISO tank containers of Phenol shipped from Taicang, China, to Ho Chi Minh City through a multimodal combination of sea freight and inland trucking. Alongside transportation, Headway took responsibility for customs procedures, regulatory compliance, and ground coordination.

Phenol is a hazardous liquid chemical, so nothing in this project could be improvised. Every phase demanded certified equipment, precise documentation, and continuous supervision to safeguard both safety and production continuity for the consignee.

“Transporting dangerous goods is never just about moving cargo from point A to point B,” said Felix Nguyen. “It requires preparation, certified equipment, proper documentation, and constant monitoring. Our objective is always to protect the client’s production schedule while maintaining the highest safety standards.”

Following a detailed risk assessment, the team deployed internationally approved tank containers, secured all declarations and permits, and synchronized port and inland operations to avoid disruptions. This methodical structure paid off. The cargo flowed according to plan, with exposure to delay or penalties significantly reduced.

“Our strength lies in combining regulatory knowledge, local execution, and project coordination,” Felix added. “That combination is what enables us to manage sensitive industrial cargo with confidence.”

One company, many capabilities

Whether the job calls for lifting dozens of tons into the air at the busiest time of the year or managing hazardous liquids under strict compliance frameworks, Headway has the depth to adapt its tools, partners, and planning style to the mission.

Congratulations to Headway JSC and all the best for their upcoming projects!

From Bremen to Tbilisi: Kopf + Lübben Delivers Lifesaving Ambulances Across Borders

The multi-country road transport required precise coordination, specialized handling, and close collaboration with medical equipment partners

Kopf & Lübben GmbH, a Coop member in Hamburg, Bremen, and Frankfurt, Germany, recently completed a complex door-to-door transport of five fully equipped Toyota Landcruiser ambulances to Tbilisi, Georgia. The airfreight export team took over to organize this shipment. While the route itself was demanding, the mission behind it made the project especially significant: delivering lifesaving medical solutions to where they are urgently needed.

Each ambulance was outfitted with advanced medical technology, and the vehicles carried critical onboard systems, including ventilators, defibrillators, patient monitors, and other emergency-response equipment designed for immediate deployment in the field.

Although airfreight would normally be the preferred mode, the team took a solution-first approach. “While we’d usually prefer cargo flying, we wanted to make sure that our client receives the best solution possible, and in this case, it was taking it on the road,” explained Adam Hoffmann, Project Manager at Kopf + Lübben.

The ambulances themselves were professionally converted by Royax, the specialist manufacturer responsible for transforming the Toyota chassis into fully functional emergency vehicles. Coordinating multiple stakeholders across borders required precise planning, reliable partners, and constant communication. What truly set this project apart was collaboration. By leveraging strong relationships with local specialists and trusted partners along the route, Kopf + Lübben ensured smooth execution from pickup to final delivery in Tbilisi.

“This project shows what’s possible when logistics expertise, local knowledge, and the right partnerships come together,” Mr. Hoffman noted. “It’s about more than transport, it’s about enabling healthcare where it matters most.”

Congratulations to Kopf + Lübben for this remarkable achievement and all the best for their future endeavours!

SI Freight Pvt. Ltd. Successfully Delivers Time-Critical Furnace Melting Project to the Middle East

Managing cargo from India’s East, West, and South Coasts, they executed the Door-to-Port movement of 2,000 FRT using nearly 30 open-top and flat-rack containers.

SI Freight Pvt. Ltd., a Coop member in Delhi, India, has completed a high-stakes Furnace Melting Project involving the movement of specialized EGA machinery and furnace equipment from multiple Indian origins to the Middle East. The project demanded precise coordination, tight deadline management, and expert handling of heavy and irregular cargo. With shipment origins spanning the East Coast, West Coast, and South Coast of India, SI Freight managed a total volume of 2,000 FRT, comprising approximately 30 open-top and flat-rack containers, under Door-to-Port terms.

Time Critical Project Cargo by SI Freight

What made the operation particularly challenging was the combination of extremely tight timelines, last-minute packaging requirements, and the need for flawless container planning. Despite these constraints, the SI Freight team executed the project with accuracy and control across every stage of the logistics chain.

“Our focus from day one was planning down to the smallest detail while remaining flexible enough to respond to last-minute changes,” said Mr. Harpreet Singh, Head of Operations at SI Freight Pvt. Ltd. “Projects like this don’t allow room for assumptions. Every movement, every lift, and every connection point had to be accounted for in advance.”

SI Freight handled the complete logistics scope internally, ensuring continuity and accountability throughout the operation. This included factory-to-port trucking across multiple Indian regions, on-site packaging and cargo protection carried out under strict time pressure, and expert CFS handling for heavy and odd-dimension equipment. Additionally, ocean freight coordination was executed on strictly scheduled vessels, requiring close alignment with shipping lines and port authorities to maintain delivery commitments.

Despite the operational complexity, they completed the project with measurable results: on-time delivery at destination, zero cargo damage, and no cost overruns.

Congratulations to SI Freight and all the best for their upcoming projects!
