SI Freight Pvt. Ltd. Successfully Delivers Time-Critical Furnace Melting Project to the Middle East

Managing cargo from India’s East, West, and South Coasts, they executed the Door-to-Port movement of 2,000 FRT using nearly 30 open-top and flat-rack containers.

SI Freight Pvt. Ltd., a Coop member in Delhi, India, has completed a high-stakes Furnace Melting Project involving the movement of specialized EGA machinery and furnace equipment from multiple Indian origins to the Middle East. The project demanded precise coordination, tight deadline management, and expert handling of heavy and irregular cargo. With shipment origins spanning the East Coast, West Coast, and South Coast of India, SI Freight managed a total volume of 2,000 FRT, comprising approximately 30 open-top and flat-rack containers, under Door-to-Port terms.

What made the operation particularly challenging was the combination of extremely tight timelines, last-minute packaging requirements, and the need for flawless container planning. Despite these constraints, the SI Freight team executed the project with accuracy and control across every stage of the logistics chain.

“Our focus from day one was planning down to the smallest detail while remaining flexible enough to respond to last-minute changes,” said Mr. Harpreet Singh, Head of Operations at SI Freight Pvt. Ltd. “Projects like this don’t allow room for assumptions. Every movement, every lift, and every connection point had to be accounted for in advance.”

SI Freight handled the complete logistics scope internally, ensuring continuity and accountability throughout the operation. This included factory-to-port trucking across multiple Indian regions, on-site packaging and cargo protection carried out under strict time pressure, and expert CFS handling for heavy and odd-dimension equipment. Additionally, ocean freight coordination was executed on strictly scheduled vessels, requiring close alignment with shipping lines and port authorities to maintain delivery commitments.

Despite the operational complexity, they completed the project with measurable results: on-time delivery at destination, zero cargo damage, and no cost overruns.

Congratulations to SI Freight and all the best for their upcoming projects!
