The shipment consisted of transporting massive tanks for the oil and gas industry, each weighing around 100 tons
Portos International, a member of The Cooperative Logistics Network in Monterrey, Mexico, has completed a complex heavy-lift project for the oil and gas sector involving the transport of oversized tanks from China to Mexico. Each tank weighed over 100 tons, requiring meticulous planning, specialized equipment, and seamless coordination across borders.

“This shipment was a real test of our team’s experience and attention to detail,” said Mr. Edgardo Garza, General Manager and Director of Portos International. “Moving such massive units requires not just the right equipment, but also precise coordination and constant communication between all parties involved. Our success on this project reflects our commitment to providing reliable and world-class logistics services to our clients worldwide.”
This milestone comes at a time when Mexico is reinforcing its position in global trade. In the first half of 2025 alone, the country recorded a 5% year-on-year increase in exports and a 6% rise in imports, driven largely by the growing demand for industrial and manufactured goods. With a resilient domestic economy and rising trade volumes, Mexico continues to establish itself as one of the most stable and strategic logistics gateways in Latin America.
From its base in Monterrey, a major industrial and logistics hub, Portos International remains committed to delivering world-class service and reliability to clients and partners, further strengthening its role in facilitating Mexico’s expanding trade network.
Congratulations to Portos International and all the best for their upcoming projects!
